New Move...

Its kind of a Clew First Air Spock / Cheeseroll thing!  It was invented in Bonaire by Kiri and the Frans brothers.  I learnt how to do it in Fuerte and had some massive crashes!!  Here’s one from Vass, bit sketchy but a claimer!!  What do ya think?

New Freestyle Video!

Well its been a little quiet over the last few days out here in Dahab, so it gave me an opportunity to finish off any unfinished projects that i have been doing for a while!  The footage was shot from all 3 of our centers over the past year.  Its just basically a load of freestyle moves chucked together for all you freestylers!  Hope you enjoy it.

Shuv It Spock 540

Head for a steep piece of chop and carve hard into wind
Push the sail down with your back hand and throw your head back to look where you came from
Pull your front arm hard across your body and kick your back leg out
Hopefully you should land as a normal spock and slide round!

1 Handed Puneta

Go downwind and switch your feet
Pop the board and throw the rig downwind
Change sides of the sail and lean forward
Take front hand off and move back hand to the harness lines
Slide round the rest of it!

Puneta Diablo

Go downwind and switch your feet
Pop the board and throw the rig downwind
Change sides of the sail and lean forward
Duck the sail
Slide round the rest of it!

Cana Brava

The Cana Brava is a variation of the Flaka Diablo and was invented by a local instructor in Bonaire by the name of Ronald Meyer.  It was then taken to the world tour by Tonky Frans.  I used it to win the British Freestyle title.

No Handed Flaka

Jump the same as a normal 1 handed flaka
As you land lean forwards and sheet in with back hand
Push the sail away and stand up
Catch the sail and spin the last bit!!

Switch Chachoo

Go downwind and switch your feet
Throw the sail to windward and duck as you pop
Grab the new side of the boom and lean forward
Slide round the rest of it!

Shaka

With loads of speed pick a steep piece of chop
Carve into it hard with sail back
Once airborn try and lean your body in the gap between the mast and nose
Keep looking upwind
Land in same position as a flaka

Puneta II

Go downwind and switch your feet
Pop the board and throw the rig downwind
Change sides of the sail and lean forward
Slide round the rest of it!

Puneta

Go downwind and switch your feet
Pop the board and throw the rig downwind
Change sides of the sail and lean forward
Slide round the rest of it!

Grubby

Bear off the wind and move back hand down
Keep body on top of the board and pop the board sheeting in hard
Lean forwards over the mast foot and push back arm and back foot in opposite directions
Turn your head to look out of the slide

Gozada

Go downwind and switch your feet
Swap hands over so you are back to sail
Lean towards the wind to keep power and speed
Pop the board and release back hand
Kick board downwind and grab the other side of the boom
If you do all that you should slide round!

Flaka

Move hands down the boom
Bear away till the rig goes light
Open sail and throw to windward as you pop
Keep body over the board and lean forward towards the nose
Land in upwind 360 position

eSlider

Go downwind and switch your feet
Stay sheeted in and move both hands back
Pop the board and kick downwind, sheet in really hard
Push the clew into wind

Forward Loop

Move front hand to harness lines and back hand as far down as possible
Bear off the wind a bit and spot a steep piece of chop
As you hit the chop extend front arm and throw mast to windward
Tuck back leg up, extend front leg, sheet in hard and look over your back shoulder
Keep front arm extended for landing
