Body Drag

Thursday, 3rd November at 7:23 am by Bubble

The body drag is a good ‘show off by the beach’ move and is best done on flat water in well powered up conditions.

Preparation - Back hand down, head upwind, unhook and get low.

Pull in on boom, lean forwards and step off with front foot.

Take back foot off and start dragging (only trying to get your toenails wet!), keep upper body close to the boom and feet spread apart to prevent body twisting.

Sheet in hard and look downwind, pull body up and put back foot on.

Keep pulling in on boom and put front foot back on.

Sail away!

Head upwind get low
Pull in on boom, step off
Drag and keep sheeted in
Pull in hard look downwind and get back on
